Structured Management Systems Saves Coulson Oil Company Thousands of Dollars
RICHMOND, VA – September 16, 2005 - Structured Management Systems has been
working with Coulson Oil Company, Little Rock, AR on automating the intercompany
billings between several of that company’s subsidiaries. Previously this function was
completely manual and as Coulson Oil expanded over the past several years this
operation had become more complicated and time consuming. SMS was asked to
automate this function. According to Adrian Parmelee, CTO, Coulson Oil Co., this
project from concept to completion, including testing took approximately four months.
Parmelee stated, “We went live in June. I put some figures together and it appears that we
will save about $35,000 + this year alone and that will increase substantially next year
with picking up more sub-jobbers without having to add accounting staff.”
Mike Coulson, President, Coulson Oil, also stated, “This project is going to save us a lot of
money. We are pleased about how quickly SMS responded to our request and their
flexibility.”
